Meet Tom our lovely shepherd cross. Tom came into us as a stray, underweight and very nervous. Despite his rough start, he’s blossomed into a friendly and affectionate young boy.

Tom is Initially shy and nervous around people, tom quickly warms up and shows his loving nature. he enjoys zooming around during playtime and absolutely adores his outdoor walks. Tom walks well on both harness and lead, though he can be a bit uncertain in unfamiliar or noisy environments.

Tom is looking for experienced owners, either familiar with shepherds or nervous dogs. He will thrive in a calm environment with adults or in homes where children are 16 years or older. Due to his reactive behaviour with other dogs, Tom needs to be the only pet in the household. He is also not suited to living with cats.

Tom is still learning about the world around him and will benefit from continued socialisation with people and exposure to different outdoor experiences. He can be fear reactive, and become vocal at times, although he responds well to positive reinforcement and is making progress with basic commands like sitting and recalling. Tom prefers gentle handling and soft treats.

While Tom is making strides in understanding play and toys, he is still discovering the joy they can bring. he can be unsure about being handled all over and will need patient owners who can help him build confidence in this area.

If you are interested in adopting Tom, please fill in an enquiry form below. You will then receive a questionnaire to complete. If your application is successful, we will then contact you regarding the next steps
