Meet Freya, a lovely Dutch Herder who is looking for a home to call her own.

Freya was rescued from a local park where she was found tied up, so not much is known about her past.

At just one year old, Freya is a bundle of energy and affection. On walks Freya’s eager nature sometimes leads to pulling, but once she’s had a chance to burn off some energy, she walks with more ease. A harness could provide her with the support she needs to enjoy her walks to the fullest.

When it comes to obedience, Freya is a work in progress. She’s still mastering the art of sit on command, but her eagerness to please shines through as she learns. She responds well to her name and recall showing promising potential to learn more commands.

Freya’s interactions with other dogs have shown her to have a reactive and vocal nature, but with a bit of guidence she’s easily distracted and happy to play with toys instead.

This lovely girl adores playing with her favourite toys (especially squeaky balls!), and has been taught the leave it command. Also if you are sitting, she will drop her balls directly into your hand.

In a home environment, we feel that Freya has the potential to live with children aged 5 and above. Her friendly and affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion for active households. However, she would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

If you are interested in adopting Freya, please fill in an enquiry form below. You will then receive a questionnaire to complete. If your application is successful, we will then contact you regarding the next steps
