Meet Boyka, a young Malinois who arrived at our centre as a stray. Despite his rough start, he has a lovely playful spirit and is ready to find a home to call his own.

Boyka is an incredibly sweet boy who loves a good fuss. He’s lively and full of energy, which means he needs plenty of exercise to keep him happy and healthy . His enthusiasm sometimes leads him to jump up, so he’ll benefit from some continued training and boundaries.

Boyka needs a secure garden with a minimum 6 foot fence to safely explore his surroundings. He would thrive in a home with children aged 12 and up. While Boyka is great with people, he’s still working on his dog socialisation skills and would be best as the only dog in the home for now.

Boyka walks well on a lead, although he can pull a bit initially due to his excitement. With some patience and consistent training, he’ll quickly become a perfect walking companion.

Boyka is highly motivated by human interaction and food. He absolutely loves treats and takes them gently. He knows basic commands like sit and lie down, and he enjoys being touched, held by the collar and being groomed. Boyka also has a fun side, he loves grabbing and running away with soft toys and balls!

Boyka shows signs of separation anxiety, so he’ll need a family that can gradually help him feel more secure when left alone. e’s a smart boy who responds well to positive reinforcement and will flourish with continued training and socialisation
