Meet Bonnie!
Bonnie is a very sweet girl who is still learning about the big wide world. She is quite under socialised and can find new experiences a little overwhelming but she is friendly with people and enjoys their attention. She can be a little shy at times but once she is comfortable her lovely personality really starts to shine through.
Bonnie can be very enthusiastic when excited and may jump up and bark particularly when entering or leaving her kennel. She can also become mouthy when overexcited so she will need a patient and understanding home who is willing to continue her training and help her learn appropriate ways to express herself. She is a bright girl who already knows how to sit and give paw and with consistency and positive reinforcement we think she has lots of potential.
Bonnie enjoys her walks and although she can pull forward when something catches her attention she generally walks well. She is an active girl who would benefit from a home that can provide her with plenty of exercise enrichment and opportunities to continue building her confidence in the outside world.
Bonnie absolutely loves her toys and enjoys soft toys tug toys and balls. She is also happy to swap her toys which is a great starting point for continued training and play.
Bonnie can be quite attention seeking and loves interacting with her people but she will need someone who understands that she may need time patience and gentle guidance as she learns to navigate new situations.
She would be best suited to a home without children or other dogs where her adopters can focus on helping her grow in confidence and become the happy well-rounded girl we know she can be.
When returning to her kennel Bonnie can try to follow you back out but she does not show any negative response when gently prevented from doing so. She is still able to be safely held by her collar making this something that can be managed while she continues to learn her boundaries.
Bonnie is a sweet fun-loving girl with lots of character and we’re sure that with the right home continued training and plenty of patience she will make a wonderful companion.
